MIKIMOTO
For the Mikimoto 125th Anniversary teaser, I had the honor of collaborating with the iconic Japanese jewelry brand MIKIMOTO and Vice Japan to create a visual teaser for their milestone event, “FEEL THE PEARL.”
The concept followed a single pearl on its journey into the mysterious depths from which it was formed. I designed the piece with deep blacks and rich blues, echoing the atmosphere of the exhibition space and allowing the pearl and featured jewelry to shine as luminous beacons against the darkness.
The client’s enthusiastic response led to a follow-up film: a historical overview tracing the legacy of Kokichi Mikimoto, who pioneered the world’s first cultured pearl. The video transitions through key moments in the brand’s 125-year history, celebrating innovation, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
